Sledge, Hubert Mont

 

Mr. Hubert Mont Sledge, an old resident of Tarboro died at his home on Albemarle Avenue at 6 o’clock yesterday evening.  He is survived by his wife, Francis Sledge.  The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at his residence, the Rev. Euclid McWhorter officiating.  The interment followed at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Speight, John F.

 

The Rev. John F. Speight, of Edgecombe county, died at his residence on Thursday last, after a few days illness of congestion of the lungs, aged about fifty years.  His death will be deeply felt by his Church and his County.  He was Chairman of the County Court of Edgecombe.

Sugg, Margaret

 

DIED, In this county, on Sunday last, aged about 63 years, Mrs. Margaret Sugg, widow of the late Reddin Sugg, leaving a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
